How to Back-up Your Template, Restore and Upload New Templates using the New Blogger Interface



          If you want to edit your blogger/blogspot template than first make sure to download your blogger template.  Why backup required? If you edited your blogger template and any problem occurs and if your edit not suit on your blog and now you want to revert your template back. In this condition you can restore it by simply uploading your template. In this post I'll explain how to back-up your template, restore and upload new templates using the new Blogger interface.
How? I explain below. In Blogger to make backup and restore a template very easy. You see in this article how easy it is!

How to Backup your Blogger Template:

  • Login in to your blogger account. Now go to your blogger dashboard.
  • Now click on �Template� tab  shown in left menu bar of your blogger dashboard.
  • Now you are on template menu here you can customize your blog via html or manually click on the �Backup/Restore� button shown at the top right corner.

  • Now a popup window open and you have two options Download full template� and �choose File�.  Click on the �Download Full Template� button.

  • Choose the location on your system (PC, Laptop) where you want to save your template backup file then click on the �Save� button.
  • You have done you can use your template backup when you required.

Now you can change and edit in your blogger template if you face any problem than you can revert back to your downloaded template.  Now I tell you how you can upload a new template and restore your saved template. First two steps are same it as backup template.

How to Restore/Upload your Blogger Template:

  • Login in to your blogger account. Now go to your blogger dashboard.
  • Now click on �Template� tab  shown in left menu bar of your blogger dashboard..
  • Now you are on template menu here you can customize your blog via html or manually click on the �Backup/Restore� button shown at the top right corner. Shown below in picture as backup process.

  • Now a popup window open and you have two options Download full template� and �choose File�.  Click on the �choose file� button.

  • Now Click on the �Browse� tab. Then navigate to and choose your downloaded backup file from your computer. And in case of new template choose your template xml file. In  case of downloaded backup file, backup file also saved in .xml  extension.
  • Now click on �Upload� tab.
  • Done. Your template is restored or uploaded in case of new template.
