The Arduino Due is a microcontroller board based on the Atmel SAM3X8E ARM Cortex-M3 CPU (datasheet). It is the first Arduino board based on a 32-bit ARM core microcontroller. The Application Note 179 Cortex™-M3 Embedded Software Development, from ARM Information Center, introduces the main features of the ARM Cortex™-M3 processor and describes different aspects of developing software for it.
